Monday night I had the pleasure of hanging out with my precious friend Erin.
She told me she had never been to one of my favorite parks called america the beautiful park. So i said well let's get in my car and i will show you.
Thus I did. It was late at night and this park is one of the best spots in Colorado Springs for soft, lucious, green grass. So we got out of the car and made our way to the huge fountain which sprays water and turns on the hour. We just walked around in the night air.
Then I told her about Memorial Park which contains our Fallen Firefighter Memorial. She had never heard of this either.
So in the car we went again. also the park where I would play softball...not a bad view huh?

We walked around and looked at the memorial which is a firefighter climbing down a ladder as he has a baby in his arms. There is also the memorial wall. Which is a huge marble wall that contains all the firefighters that have died in action over the years.
We were silent and just looked at the flowers that were laid on the floor cause they just had the memorial ceremony this past weekend. I gave her all the history of the memorial. Kinda felt like a tour guide monday night, guess it kinda helps that I dated a fire fighter.
So if you want tours...call me apparently I am a self proclaimed tour guide.

Hi Katie,
I had a really nice walk in the park last night too. :) Aunt Ruth and I went to a beautiful park out towards Grand Haven and walked the trails to Lake Michigan and then walked the beach for a long time and back again. We watched the sunset and it was so nice! These things are the good stuff in life :) It's so good to have good friends and family. ttys. Mom
yay for friends! and parks :)
we should all spend more time in parks. I think our city has more parks than we think it does...
It was a great time! Only Josh & John's ice cream could have made it better. :) Love you!
