NIght for the books

James and I had the best night last night.

Went to the broadmoor and snuck around. Here is a condensed list of all the innocent naughty things we could've got caught for but didn't.

1. Snuck up to the penthouses

2. threw newspaper down a old fashioned trash chute

3. got into the service elevator and explored a part of the broadmoor that we were for sure not supposed to be in and somehow found out way back

4. hiked up a hill, to find a slide, crawled up the water slide to a landing, walked around the locked part of the broadmoor, then having to get out had to once again climb a big fence (with James help of course)

5. snuck around the property that was not where guests were to be and waltzed out in the open air like nothing ever happened, when inside we were both freaking out.

6. Ate dessert in a super swanky restaurant where I felt like for the first 20 minutes we should get up and leave cause we clearly had no business being there.

7. Had the best dessert I have ever eaten and admired all the couples who were on the dance floor really showing off their stuff.

8. James and I dancing our impressive box step, almost running into other couples and thoroughly enjoying being in the middle as the live band made us feel light on our toes. I will never forget being in the middle of the dance floor in his arms and thinking I hit the jackpot!

9. Falling even more in love with my honey and someone that I get to have spontaneous adventures with, for the rest of my life.

Night for the books.

Finding Contentment

Last night I went on a late night walk after my long day
and thoroughly enjoyed the fall quietness.

The only sound was the crunching of the leaves under my feet
and the smell of sweetness in the air
from the impending precipitation that was on the horizon
coming over the mountains as I was walking.

It was the perfect fall night.
Warm, yet a great mixture of coolness.

This pic was from my walk.

There have been lots of things stirring in my soul.
This post from one of my favorite blogs was exactly what I was feeling today.

Be who thine was created to be.
Feel beautiful and know it.
Be confident and work it.
Be present in the moment.

today!

Feeling good inside

Life these days

Seems busy.

It seems as though weeks zoom by (similar to my zoom zoom mazda car!)
and before I realize it, its already the weekend.

This is great, except for the reason that my weeks zoom by is that my days are long.
I get done working at 7pm everyday except for wednesdays.
On weds I am at my internship, which is a post for another day.

I look up and I am like holy crap is it the middle of October!
when did that happen?
I drive to and from work and try and be present in those still moments.
I try and just always be present. Like today I noticed the leaves falling off
the trees from the wind and rustling around the streets.
I love fall. It truly is my favorite season.
I get to wear hats and not be a million degrees. and layers hmmmm :)

Life is still continuing around me.
People are busy.
The world is chugging along like it always did, so what's the point?

I sometimes feel like when I get done with work
the only energy I have left to do at the end of the day
is try and figure out dinner and maybe facebook and watch a tv show.

healthy right? But I kinda feel like I need to check out from most obligations
in my life right now so I can maintain sanity.

I feel bad because I don't want people to think it is
on purpose or that I am mean, and the other side to this
coin, is I hate to be out of the loop.

But I have also realized that this year there
are a lot of things that I have to accept and
just move on.

People have made comments that I feel like
I haven't seen you in forever, which they haven't.
And that is life right now. It is kind of a bear, but
I am picking my chin up and moving forward.

My theme of life will continue....choose joy!

Choose joy when my alarm is going off and I am
attempting to peel myself out of my bed... thank God
that I can hear the birds chirping.

Make myself coffee as I drive to work and thank God
that I have a job to drive to, a job that I love!

Get to work and get bombarded with all the people
that need something and thank God that I have been
blessed with the abilities to help these people.
What they say does not scare me. It makes me
dig my feet into the sand and say I will stick
out this storm with you.

This season has stripped away a lot of the fluff of
my life. It is down to the bare essentials.

What I have also found out?
I am a lot stronger then I previously knew.

Things I cannot life without...
God.
James. and his love :)
sweet moments.
good food.
good music.
and sleep.

Erin's got hitched!!!

This weekend,
my good friend got hitched!
I got the honor of standing up for her
and it was such a blast!

Erin getting ready,
I had to catch a pic of her hair.
I may have called her marge simpson ;)
there that's better
all done!
Ann and I
Erin and I right before she put on her gown
Look how happy she looks.
She was absolutely gorgeous!
How many people does it take to put on a wedding dress?
flowers!
Right before they walked down the aisle,
Jeremy, Erin and April.
James and I before the reception.
The sunset was great!

This girl, aubrey was awesome!
We definitely are kindred spirits and spent
a lot of time laughing and making inappropriate comments :)
and she and I would def get in trouble if she lived here!
This was the on going joke about Ann'e metabolism.
She said I can eat and eat and just burn it off.
So at the reception we kept laughing and had to take a picture
because she ended up with so many plates huddled around her.

It was funny!

Fall Color Tour

This weekend James and I went on a fall color tour.
We drove through canon city
through phantom canyon
then to cripple creek
and back down through woodland park.

Here's the pics.

Gotta love timed pics :)
Beautiful fall colors of the aspens

It was such a nice day to just relax with James.
We laughed and just caught up
and had a great weekend.

We ended up seeing inception that night(which that movie was so crazy and good!)
and dinner at carrabbas.
It was such a fun weekend with my honey!
I truly feel so blessed to be in love with my best friend
and that we spend most of our time together laughing.

Girls Trip to Breckenridge

These girls are some of my very best friends.
As friends we like to do things together
So we went to breckenridge for a girls' weekend
Aren't we so pretty?
We arrived here at the chalet
thanks to carey
for the hook up!
It was so quaint and perfect inside.
This is the view from the back porch and
yes there was a stream flowing
right behind us.
So at night when we had the bonfire
we heard the babbling of the brook!
Then we headed out for lunch,
Carey and I
cute!
After lunch
we went downtown to shop.
this weekend also happened to be Octoberfest, which made
for lots of drunk people on the streets.
It kept us entertained to say the least.

So we snuck off to a side street
and took a break.
Here are carey and I
In front the bright yellow wall.
All photos are thanks to mel
still in front of the yellow wall.

black and white version
whattya think of the hat?
Girls who I love!
Then we took the gondola up to the top
and got these following fabulous photos.
The leaves are in full color up there.

you better appreciate this photo,
cause on the way down I hit my back
and that was not awesome :(
I told carey to stick it out,
this is her laughing and
attempting to stick it out
so we could capture a preggo pic for stevo!
3 preggers chicks holding each others babies :)

Waiting for breakfast the next day.
Moon rising.
above the mountains
(james told me what this peak is called, but I can't remember now )
Glamor shots the morning we leave.
hat day for us
captured from the car window
that's why the sign looks funky

all in all the weekend was wonderful!

We laughed a lot.
Some of us drank beers.
Had new experiences, thank you mel and cathy :o)

We ate, sat around a bonfire and shared secrets
and did I mention laughed alot.
For mel and cathy it was the first time leaving their little darlings.
They did great, I was so proud of them.
That had to be a little rough for them.

All in all. I am thankful for these girls,
(although some of us were missing).
They make my
life better.
