Ok so I work at an establishment where I get paid to drink...what you say??? yes I got paid yesterday to sit in a room, drink, watch a movie, and act silly (what I do best) all for the purpose of new cops to be able to practice their road side tests on real people.
So I had enough to drink where I was feeling good and my level was . 056 and the legal limit to get arrested is .08 so I would not have gotten arrested for DUI, but would have for DWI which is not as severe but people should still not be driving. But I wasn't so it was ok.
So these brand new cops come into a room where I am and their sergeants and lieutenants are all observing them...so what do I do give them a little crap. One I asked if he wanted to go on a date with me (kidding of course) another cop I asked if I passed the test and he was like oh yeah. Since I had been tested so many times by the different pairs of officers, I knew what they were supposed to say to me so he wasn't saying it right and I asked am I supposed to keep my arms down and keep my feet together. He was nervous :o)
So at the end of this experiment where I had been tested by six different pairs of officers and the conclusion was that no one would have arrested me for anything and they got few clues of me being drunk.
The comments from the guys who were conducting it was that katie is an experienced drunk and you need to pay attention because you will run into people like this who know how to mess with you and pass the tests.
So I guess I am the girl who if gets pulled over I can pass the tests.
But the ironic part is...I don't drink that often and I still did very well.
So I got paid to drink and mess with officers...it was fun.

I went for a walk last night in the evening. People were outs on their porches and in their yards and the dogs and cats. I have never been barked at by so many dogs...phew , that part was not fun.
But one couple I passed was just sitting in a loveseat, with a glass of wine they each had and in the background was jazz music loud enough for passer byers to enjoy but not too loud. They said hi to me as I passed and were very friendly and then their cat came out to greet me so I stopped and scratched his head.
All the while the lady said "that is charlie he is available for scratches"
So Charlie and I had a moment.
But it was just a nice enjoyable walk just passing by and loving the scenery. To be peaceful. Then I ended the walk by laying down in the grass looking at the stars while talking with one of my favorite people on the phone.
Take a walk today, by yourself, talk with God, be quiet, just enjoy the scenery. I promise you will like it.
Now off to go enjoy my day :)

Hi Katie,
I enjoyed this piece about your walk and the peaceful feeling.
I'm having one of those mornings here in Michigan. Sitting in my back yard with my coffee and relaxing and getting ready to go to church for the first time this summer. It's a beautiful day! Blue, blue skies and a few wispy clouds here and there. Love you honey, I miss you all the time. Have a great Sunday. Mom :)
You are one of my favorite friends! It was good to talk to you the other night. Let's hang out this weekend!
Katie,
That is funny! What an interesting thing to get paid for :)I bet you have a couple of brothers who are jealous. Can you imagine these new officers coming across Paul? :)
Hope you are having a good week!
Love you,
Robin
