K group Second Annual Camping Trip

So this is the second annual k group camping trip.

I am pretty sure that I have the best friends in the world.

They are just the kind of people you want walking

down the road of life with you.

Last night James and I celebrated 9 months!

We went out to Bistro de Pinto

and had a phenom meal

with great conversation.

Doesn't my man look hot?? :)

So because I have been a bad blogger as of late.

I am now updating with some recent pics from this holiday weekend.

It was really hot that day.

Fourth of July Party!

Red, white and blue attire were suggested.

So I had a red flower in my hair,

you can't really see it,

but it was there :)

Party at the Cheney's where we got together with all of our friends and watched fireworks behind Sky Sox stadium.

July 4th parade,
james and john were on the float because it was their 10 year high school reunion

and they got soaked by the fire department, it was awesome!

It made me miss good ole Grandville's parade.

It was so fun to roll up in this sweet car!

Today

I got off work at 1:30 pm cause I had some extra comp time,

so I went and got a pedicure

After that I had to write papers....LAME!!!!

But I had to cause I am a semi procrastinator and grad school will get the best of you that way

So after I had writer's block and just starred out the window for awhile,

I finally got at least 1 of the papers done.

Procrastination kicked in again and wanting to be outside.

I went for a run tonight in Garden of the Gods.

It was gorgeous!

At one point after my run I just sat there and watched the sun set behind the mountains.

Listened to the birds chirping above my head

felt the wind blowing on my face.

I was up high enough that I had an incredible view and just

felt close to God.

It was such a peaceful moment.

Hope you all had as peaceful of a night as I did :)

Remember me?

I know it has been a long time.

I have enjoyed the break.

I finished my first semester of grad school and consequently got a's.

Which honestly was surprising to me :)

Now my second semester is well under way, can't believe I already started again.

It seems like I just got a break when we are already gearing up again.

Life really has been simple and good.

I am happy, joyful and full of love.

I will travel home on Wednesday and can't wait to be with my little darlings :)

They are always in my heart but there is something about holding them

that just makes me glee with excitement.

Doors are closing in my life.

Other ones are opening.

A fork in the road,

but a fork I feel peaceful about.

I feel grateful to be walking the in the steps I am taking.

Lord, is holding me close to His chest right now.

Tonight I will place my head on my pillow

and rest easy.

For peace anoints my forehead.

Why my boyfriend is the best

So I had a long day at work today

I came home at 7 pm

and walked in my apartment door

and opened my fridge and found this......

In case you can't tell there was a plate with

a note under it saying

"Katie, enjoy your dinner, I love you!

What did my fab boyfriend make me?

The egg salad I had been craving!!!

He also bought croissants, avocados and fruit and

made this fancy presentation.

He is the best!!!
